Video refereee system at the Greyhound Race Track Praskačka

Race track referees were replaced by electronics.
particular runs are monitored by 10 digital cameras, placed around the track.
Viewing angles of particular cameras overlap to neighbouring camera sectors and it allows to scan the whole track.
Each camera is connected with one DVD recoroder.
Snímané obrazy z každé kamery jsou ukládány do deseti DVD recordérů.
Particular camera views are recorded in 10 DVD recorders and they can be accesed by the main referee.
Digitální záznamy z jednotlivých kamer slouží pro účely bezchybného rozhodnutí hlavního rozhodčího.
The digital records can be used in case of entering a protest but also for the greyhound owners´ purposes. The owner can view the behaviour of the greyhound in starting boxes, when starting, when running.
One situation (e.g. accidental contact, intentional contact - fighting) can be viewed from multiple records.
Different viewing angles allow to judge particlular situation properly.
For laics:
We thoroughly check all records. Even if some greyhound owners claim that their dogs dont fight at the race track but only "play with others".
10 electronic eyes allow us to judge properly any situation from different angles.
If a greyhound is disqualified it is absolutely sure as the records show it unambiguously.
Records from all cameras are stored permanently.
