Greyhound Race Track Praskacka experienced unusual greyhound races Punk-Rock Greyhound
Race 2010 on the 16th of October. The event was extraordinary both because of the clothes of
the Czech Greyhound Racing Federation stewards and because of the exceptionally kind
oportunity - introducing a little greyhound noblewoman to the greyhound society in accordance
with noble customs.

Greyhound Princess Mount Cappucine´s was welcomed with the honour that appertains to
young greyhounds who enter the Greyhound Schooling Academy of the Czech Greyhound
Racing Federation.

Festive ceremonial was initiated by two beautiful good fairies - golden-haired pixies who wished
Jamaica good luck in her future racing career. The Jamaican national flag could not be absent.

The greyhound princess Jamaica was baptised by the president of the Czech Greyhound
Racing Federation - Mr. Zdenek Greyhound Grondol. He did it stylishly - in his own way -
with the original jamaican rum. Mr. Grondol sprinkled Jamaica with several drops of jamaican
rum and he donated the remainding content of the bottle to her owner.
Jamaica liked the smell of the rum (that really was no surprise) and she delightfully licked the
bottle.
DJ Dunas played the ceremonial fanfare - jamaican reggae and everyone had good time with
the owner.

Pictures on the photogallery below illustrate that young Jamaica is not a petite and shy
greyhound lady at all. She enjoyed meeting present stewards and greyhounds of the Czech
Greyhound Racing Federation and also the jamaican rum did not go against her hair.

She is exceptionally vital, fearless and inquisitive greyhound puppy. The scene of the Punk-Rock
Greyhound Race 2010 seemed to fit to Jamaica´s nature - the Punk-Rock & Halloween look of
the stewards did not stressed her at all and she was joyful all day.

We are looking forward to seeing Jamaica training with other greyhounds of the Czech
Greyhound Racing Federation at the new Multifunctional sport stadium in Prague Motol - you can

Jamaica - first start from the trap

After the ceremonial Jamaica was allowed to test the greyhound race track by her self.
Her owner and trainer showed her the starting boxes, Jamaica familiarized with the equipment rapidly and then we made a test - Jamaica was to run after the hare from the trap no. 1.
That is the moment that every greyhound owner awaits impatiently, sometimes even worries - will the pup chase the hare or not?
And how did it end up?
The greyhound baby Jamaica immediatelly started chasing the hare and she even continued chasing the whole back straight as far as the audience stood around the race track, i.e. 87 m.
The larkily greyhound pup Jamaica performed a comic act - instead of going back to the racing paddock she ran off from her owner to steal the hare. After she managed to take the hare she triumphally ran to her owner to show him the catch.

How did Jamaica came to her name?

The owner of Jamaica took the green of his kennel , yellow of his company logo and the black is the color of Jamica´s hair. That is how he got the colors of the fastest runners of the world - Jamaica.
